Abstract

These authors, TWP co-leaders, have adapted the Rev. Nicole Ashwood’s unpublished Tears in a Bottle Liturgy for Trauma Transformation (with permission) for use in Jamaica for a time of prayer for a TWP group gathered at the Tomb of the Ancestors at Seville Heritage Park (St Ann’s, Jamaica, August 2024).  The liturgy offers prayerful, sensitive grounding and a transatlantic healing focus as a way of collectively concluding and reflecting upon the tour of the Great House and focusing attention on those African ancestors at whose tomb they were gathered.
