Abstract

In this short liturgy, co-authors and TWP co-leaders use the image of a compass to guide TWP participants through a time of reflection to conclude the cohort’s TWP participation (May 2025).  Interspersing scripture and narrative, they note that the West points us to the setting sun and endings; and also, for ancestors who crossed the Atlantic, a painful departure from home and loved ones.  The East, to the rising sun, resurrection, and healing; the North, to our True North, the God who calls and equips us to write; and the South, a reminder that staying the course requires support and grounding from many around us.
